We are sorry for the delay in distributing this notice. However Water District personnel have been busy trying to identify the problem and find a solution.
Crawford County Rural Water District #1 has experienced a major disruption in water service today. The extreme weather has caused the freeze up of the main service line from the deep well to the water storage portion of our system.
The District is under an emergency water situation. We currently are receiving water from our emergency source and if weather conditions continue to deuterate, as they are expected to do, the District will remain with low water pressure.
We ask you restrict your water use to minimum levels to ensure that our emergency source of water is not over stressed. If you are letting your water run to avoid freezing pipes, please do so at a slightly lower volume to allow enough water pressure for the entire District.
Thank you for your support and patience during this emergency.
